Live Your Dreams, Not Someone else's

As a child you have dreams of becoming absolutely anything you want to be. some of us want to be writers, some models, firemen etc. The list definitely goes on.  As we grow we're told what our dreams SHOULD be. We are often SCARED into something else or some of us try to live a dream that someone else has for us. It's not a bad thing to live your own dreams out. If people can't support you all the way then sometimes you have to take it for what it is and keep it moving. You can't allow another human being to live through you or for you. Don't pass up opportunities to live your own dreams because you'll definitely regret it in the long run. After all would you rather be happy and live your life knowing that you've reached for the stars every time and caught them all or even missed a few, or would you rather live life ignore yourself and living someone else's dream out? Please believe me when I say that not attempting to live your dreams is a nightmare that you never wake up from until you can really be true to who you are and not what others want you to be. Live your life to the fullest. Live it like it's your last day everyday. You don't want your last thought to be "Damn I never got to..."

The Power of Words

I wrote this poem because people don't realize the power that words possess and how the tone of them when used together can make a mess if you're not careful.

Say what you mean and mean what you say
But be careful what you say to me
Because from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks
So if you don't really want me to know what's in there
I suggest you you keep minimal speech
I probably wont be understanding
if you use the wrong words
I may in fact misunderstand everything you say
Because I'm not focusing on the words
I'm too busy focused on the tone i just heard.
A lot of the time people don't realize
It's not what you say it's how you say it
So to get the response you want
Calm down, think about it, play with it
Until you find the words you really want to use
Keep your mouth shut until you're really ready to say it

Being unaware of the power words possess you see
Gives the excuse that one can't help but to use them as a child would
Carelessly, recklessly, unintentionally.
No one can live life like that
Because there are consequences
Good and bad that can really set you back
Don't underestimate what it means to verbalize freely
They made it a law
As if they can take it away like a child's pair of heely's.
So use it but use it wisely
because the words you use
By many, they won't be taken lightly

The New Girl

Hello all. I'm new to this and i really don't know much about it but i do know that i have a lot to say. I'm currently working on a few books (one will be my first one and the others will follow) if I can ever finish them. What I'm going to do is post some of my work (none of which will be in my book) to see how you all respond to it. Don't worry I promise to entertain if you promise me the same thing. Everything I write will not only be for me but for anyone who reads it. Hopefully you all enjoy. Thanks a milli from the new chick
